Do you want to get involved in the Knowledge Bank Professional Learing Community Program?
If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Every week through Term 3, I’ll be reporting on what is going on in the KBNG PLP Program, where 20 teachers from across Victoria are trialling blogging and podcasting in their teaching and learning program.
We’d love to hear your ideas about the various implications of Web 2.0 technologies.
Last week we looked at digial content, next week we’re looking a PoLT and in the coming weeks we’ll investigate Multi-literacies, Human Interface, Peer Coaching and Evaluation. We’d love to hear your ideas and thoughts as we work throught these.
Are you blogging and podcasting currently in your classrooms? We’d love to hear about what you’re doing and learn from your experiences.
Is there any way we can assist you in your trials?

We’ll also post links to various resources available for blogging and podcasting.

I am a primary school library technician and I am very interesting in the use of new tools & resources fro teachers. That digilearn has not been embraced and that there is so much “good stuff” out there to back up “learning” as opposed to the old fashioned “teaching students” information.
My class and I have just started up our first blog and it’s going great. The boys are particularly interested both in and out of school. All the students have access to the site to upload and comment any time they want. They then come in the next day and let us know of the updates and we check it out. We dedicate Friday afternoon to group work and we have blooging teams where we spend the afternoon collecting data and updating the blog for the week. We add interesting lessons for the week, author of the week, superstar of the week, school interviews and more. As a result of the blog and as part of Olympic celebrations we pretended to be athletes from Madagascar and interviewed each other on the webcams it was fantastic. Watching the web videos as I uploaded them it was amazing to see the kids really come out of their shells to act in front of the camera. Definately gave me a new perspective. Feel free to visit our blog, comment and stay posted as we learn together. Any advice??!
